I tried that. Certainly a step in the right direction. however, something is switching the values back right after I change them.

I added EnabledChanged and BackColorChanged events to see whats up and it shows that right after I change the background color or try to disable the text box, something switches those properties right back. Any thoughts on how to get around that?
