HI,

With reference to your issue, VSFlexGrid 8.0 latest build is supported in 2010 .NET fw.

You may test the same by downloading the build from the link below:

http://prerelease.componentone.com/activex/C1FlexGrid/C1FlexGrid%208.0/2012-T2/

1) Any general guidelines in this situation?

As it is a change of platform and control type, so you would need to code it more or less from scratch, the relative functions and methods, as we don’t have nay utility for conversion of ActiveX grid to .NET grid

In .NET we have a corresponding grid i.e. C1FlexGridClassic, for VSFlexGrid that has more or less same properties/methods as VSFlexGrid. You may refer to the blog below for the conversion and guidelines to C1FlexGridClassic

http://our.componentone.com/groups/topic/how-to-convert-vsflex7-0-to-c1-win-c1flexgrid-classic/

http://our.componentone.com/2012/03/23/conversion-of-vsflexgrid-7-0-to-c1-win-c1flexgrid-classic/

2) What are the issues that a team can face when we take up this activity

There can be issues related to licensing, obsolete methods and properties , that don’t exist in the latest .NET version or there can be few in renamed state as well.

3) Architecture, components design approaches, etc.

Architecture would be completely different from the ActiveX version. I’d suggest you to check out the documentation as well, in the link below:

Let me know if you face any issues.

Regards,
