Flexgrid rows disappear on refresh

I’m using two Flexgrid for LightSwitch controls on a form. These two Flexgrid display item and item detail type information. When I hit the refresh button all of my rows dissapear even the ones that were loaded initally when the application started. If I reload the application the rows show as expected.
